Dr. Fox received his undergraduate and veterinary degrees from the University of Missouri in Columbia and moved with his wife to Winston-Salem in 1984. He worked for Dr. Poland at our present location from 1986 to 1989 before moving to another practice in the area. They remained friends and Dr. Fox decided to purchase Walkertown Veterinary Hospital when Dr. Poland retired. Dr. Fox and his wife live in Wallburg, NC and they have a daughter who is attending Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. They have 2 dogs and 2 cats currently.
Dr. Fox has more hobbies than free time. They include golfing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, home improvement projects and bicycling. His German Shepherd, Lucy, accompanies him on his hikes.
If time were no object, he would love to through-hike the Appalachian Trail (end to end in one trip), typically a 6-month ordeal.
Dr. Scott joined the practice in August of 1999. She grew up in Fort Worth Texas but has been in N.C. since 1999. Dr. Scott received her B.S. in Zoology from Texas A&M, an M.A. in Biochemistry from the University of Texas' Health Science Center Dallas in Dallas Texas, her D.V.M. from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Vet Medicine, and completed her internship at VCA Berwyn & Franklin Park Animal Hospitals & Referral Centers in Chicago IL.
Dr. Scott lives in Kernersville, NC with her husband Larry. Her daughter Rebekah graduated from NC State University.
Dr. Scott likes spending her free time gardening, horseback riding, golfing, embroidering, playing the piano and viola, singing with her church praise team, and reading.
Favorite part of Job: Making animals better.
Dr. Ferguson received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University and obtained undergraduate degrees from Blue Ridge Community College and Wake Forest University.
Doctor Ferguson volunteers for AARF and is certified in the Healing Touch for Animals and continues to expand her homeopathic veterinarian training every chance she gets.
Brooke lives in Winston-Salem and enjoys taking care of her pet cat and spending time with her family and friends.
Lea joined the staff of Walkertown Veterinary Hospital in the Spring of 2017 and is thrilled to work with the staff as the Hospital Administrator.
Raised in Richmond, VA, Lea moved to the area in 2016. She has a Nebelung breed cat named Eleanor and a retired Marine Corp Labrador named Chloe. Chloe served 2 tours in Afghanistan but now enjoys frisbee and trying to sneak naps on the couch.
While not working, Lea enjoys baseball games, music festivals, hiking, kayaking, and cooking.
Sheri joined our staff in 1997 and can do any position in the hospital. Sheri's reputation for being good at everything earned her our "Jack of All Trades" award. She grew up all over the world due to her father being in the Air force but spent her later teen years in Florida where she graduated from High School and then moved back to NC.
Sheri lives in Walnut Cove with her husband Kenny and their 5 sons K.W., Jason, Jonathan, Josh, and Brandon. They are also the proud grandparents of some of the cutest little boys and girls you will ever meet. She also shares her home with her dogs, cats, and horses.
Sheri's interest includes horseback riding, motorcycle riding, and kayaking.

Donna Morison -Kennel Care Team Manager
Donna joined the staff in 2004 and was soon after promoted to Kennel Manager. Donna has a huge amount of compassion for the people and animals around her and is always willing to give a little extra to get the job done thus earning her our "extra mile" award.
Donna grew up in Buffalo, NY and High Point, NC. She lives in Belews Creek, NC with her husband Jeff. Donna also has a grown daughter, Brandi, and grandchildren Emma, Taylor, Avery and Kate. Donna and Jeff share their home with their many dogs and cats.
Donna enjoys spending time with her pets and family, scuba diving, going to the beach, photography and is the Carolina Hurricanes #1 fan.
Favorite Part of Job: I love playing and holding puppies and kitties.
Brenda started with Walkertown Veterinary Hospital in 2005 and has served both as our groomer and in the kennel. Brenda takes master seminars and classes to help perfect her grooming craft and also does grooming competitions.
Brenda moved from Ohio to N.C. in 2004 with her children Dusty, Danielle, and Katlynd. She has two children still in Ohio, Vickie, and Cody. Brenda loves her doggies and kitties but her horses have her heart.
Brenda spends her time away from work planting flowers, taking care of her pets, fishing and working on her house doing lots of trail riding and loving on her granddaughter, Taylor.
Favorite Part Of Job: When I make pet owners smile.
Anne has been with us since 2004. She came to us fresh to the vet world and has learned a lot. Anne's easy going personality earned her the "easy going" award. Anne graduated from East Forsyth High and ECPI Tech.
Anne has been in Kernersville all of her life and still lives in Kernersville with her husband David, daughter Ashley and twin daughters Michaela and Marisa. Anne's eyes will twinkle if you ask her about her little Chicklet which is her granddaughter Amber. Anne and her family have many pets including dogs- Diesel and Zoey, cats- Bandit, Bella, Jake, Little Bitty, Pumpkin, Simba, Smokey, Stitch, and Spunky. Goats- Bonnie and Clyde, and horses- Bailey and Patches
Anne loves going to the beach, listening to beach music and spending time with her kids.
Favorite Part of Job: Getting to love on the animals and she REALLY loves the animals.
Judy Frazier- Veterinary Technician
Judy joined our team in April of 2011 as a kennel assistant although she is just an as needed employee now she is still a great asset to our practice. Judy graduated from East Forsyth High School and now resides in Statesville with her two dogs Pico and Sofie.
Judy enjoys fostering pet snakes and has a real "knack" and passion for nursing them back to health. She enjoys going out with friends and spending time with her nieces and nephews in her spare time.
Kristin Alderin-Fleagle- Certified Veterinary Technician
Kristin is a graduate of Limeston College in South Carolina where she was on the soccer team and earned a degree in Biology. She joined our team as a Kennel Assistant in the early summer of 2012 right after she finished college. We are so blessed to have her too! Kristin has also continued her education by completing a certified veterinary tech program and is now a Board Certified Veterinary Technician!
Kristin is a native of the area and is a graduate of East Forsyth High School where she also played on the soccer team. She enjoys spending free time hanging with her family and friends as well as her pets Thor and Edita both Mastiffs , her newest puppy Gunner, a gorgeous Chocolate Lab along with her many cats and even some turtles. She also enjoys camping, hiking, running, drawing and anything else that keeps her active.
Sidney Bentley- Receptionist
Sidney joined our team the summer of 2013. She works in Reception but started on our Kennel Care Team and is attending Forsyth Tech. Sidney is a great addition to our team due to her desire to learn and her love of animals. We call her the cat whisperer because of her ability to calm down and gain the trust of even the most tricky felines.
Sidney was born in NC and grew up in the area. She is currently staying busy with all of her classes. She enjoys spending time with family and friends., Sidney is recently engaged to her fiance Micheal and they are in the thick of wedding plans. Sidney has a multitude of pets that keep her busy including Princess Anastasia (or Gin-Gin for short) who is fluffy.....not fat depending on who you ask.
Kelsey Hedgecock-- Kennel Care Team Assistant
Kelsey is another one of our local Carolina girls. Kelsey grew up in the Belews Creek area but graduated high school in VA. She joined our team just before Christmas in 2014 and is a super quick learner. She is our resident artist as seen by her amazing doggie snowman on our front lawn this winter.
Kelsey attends Forsyth Tech. She spends her time off hanging out her boyfriend and friends and traveling to the beach with her family.
Codi James-- Veterinary Technician
Codi is a current student at NC A&T University and is studying animal science. She is a Stokes County girl and grew up helping her family work their farm. Codi has a real natural way with animals and has proven to be able to balance her work, social life, and school very well. She has been with us since the summer of 2014 and has learned a lot in her time with us.
Codi spends her time away from work studying for classes, spending time with family and friends and showing her award winning cows at local competitions.
Addison Worden-- Kennel Care Team Assistant
Addison is originally from Myrtle Beach and Rock Hill, SC. She moved to North Carolina in 2012. She joined the Walkertown Veterinary Hospital Kennel Care Team in September 2016 and has proven to be a hard worker who loves the animals in her care. She has several cats, Smokey, Z, Gezmo, Peanut, Oreo, and Shaggy but her favorite cat and "baby girl" is Dixie She loves working with animals, teaching children and working with the good people at Walkertown Veterinary Hospital.
When she is not loving on the animals in the Kennel, she enjoys taking pictures, swimming and hanging out with friends and her amazing family. Addison also loves to hang out with her 3 nephews.
Karolyn Carroll--- Kennel Care Team Assistant
Karolyn is a true Carolina girl living in North Carolina her whole life. She graduated from Carver High School ranked 2nd in her class! She has a nice way of remembering all the little things about our boarding animals which the clients love to hear about. She started in the kennel fresh in 2016 and has proven to be a quick learner. Her favorite part of her job is handling and being around all the animals.
When Karolyn isn't working she likes to spend time with her Pitbull, Crisco. She is also a very talented artist and loves to paint and draw. Photography is another one of her passions and she considers her camera her baby!
Amy Colona-- Kennel Care Team Assistant
Amy Lynn attends Walkertown High School and has lived in the area her whole life. She started with us May 2016 and has done a great job with the weekend walking. She is learning quickly and will be working in the kennel during regular business hours over her school breaks. Amy Lynn plans on pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine specializing in horses and goats.
She keeps busy when not in school or at work with her crew of chickens ( they all have names too but we are short on space!!) her dogs- Camo, Bonnie, and Dude. She also has a cat named Zeppelin, a rabbit named Sweet Pea. Her true loves are her horses Sunny and Cinnamon. Amy Lynn loves to barrel race and pleasure ride, relax in her hammock and work on old trucks with her father and brother.

Megan is a local Lewisville girl and would like to become a large animal veterinarian one day. Our plan for Megan is to teach her everything so that she can work in all of our departments. She started with us in August of 2016 and comes to us with prior experience working with animals. Megan is a graduate of West Forsyth High School.
In her spare time she enjoys mudding, fishing and hanging out with friends. Megan has two dogs an Aussie Mix named Banditt and a hound/pit mix named Alice. She is the oldest of 4 children (3 girls and one boy) and loves being an aunt for the first time to her nephew Connor.
